Batangas Coves – Brgy. Papaya, Nasugbu, Batangas

Batangas Coves – Brgy. Papaya, Nasugbu, Batangas – 2017, July 01

I used to only know of Batangas as the port where we get off to go to Puerto Galera in Mindoro. But recently, I came to get to know more of Batangas as one of the places with the best beaches and sceneries not far from Manila.

On July 1st, we visited Batangas Coves starting from Brgy. Papaya, Nasugbu, Batangas.

We left at around 2am from Quezon City and arrived at Brgy Papaya, Nasugbu, Batangas at about 6am. After we disembarked, got some breakfast and changed to our swimming outfits, we began our boat ride.

Taytayin Cove – Batangas

Taytayin Cove is the first we visited. No one was there and the beach was almost deserted. It was beautiful with nature fresh and untouched.

Santelmo Cove – Batangas

The second place we went to was the Santelmo Cove. Just like Taytayin Cove, the the water was clear and it was amazing how radiant it looked like.

Pulung Kutad – Batangas

The third place was Pulung Kutad. We had a good time going inside the caves. We had a small boat with us when we travelled so some us paddled through the cave.

Angara Beach Resort – Batangas

We took our lunch at Angara Beach Resort. We had lunch by the beach and got some rest from the long snorkling and going around the caves and coves.

Kayraang Cove – Batangas

After lunch, we set ourselves to Kayraang Cove. The place was also untouched and it’s amazing to know that we have all of these beaches just outside Metro Manila.

Kayraang Caves – Batangas

We then went to Kayraan Caves and took pictures on the rock formations.

Layag Layag Lagoon – Batangas

Last but not the least, we went snorkling in Layag Layag Lagoon. Layag Layag cove is now off limits but fortunately, our boatman still managed to get us into the Lagoon where we were able to snorkle and some, even went cliff diving.

From morning to afternoon, the trip was awesome with great beaches, coves and caves to swim upon. I give credit to our trip organizers as well for bringing us to these amazing sceneries and letting us experience Batangas on a whole new perspective.
